Nissan offers 360 ° vision technology research in … – Digital Journal



 
 Nissan announced the availability of its Surrounding Area View Monitor technology (AVM) to the Japanese agency of science and sea and land Technology (JAMSTEC) and Topy Industries Ltd., through a joint development project that may help unravel the mysteries of the oceans.
 
 
 

The joint development agreement with JAMSTEC and Topy, one of the largest crawler system manufacturers for robots in Japan, will, as revealed by the Japanese car brand in a statement, increase the capacity of government agency to search for natural resources in deep water, using remotely operated vehicles (ROV).

The Nissan AVM technology will help ROV operators to avoid obstacles and pass throughout the ocean floor more easily, stresses the document .
