Cup with technology in the goal-line – Record

The technology on the goal line will be first used in Germany in the Cup final between VfL Wolfsburg and Borussia Dortmund on 30 May in Berlin, today unveiled the German Federation Football Association (DFB).

“It will be a historic game for it,” said Helmut Sandrock, secretary general of the DFB, confirming the statements of various leaders of German clubs in the sense that technology be premiered in the cup final.

The end of the 2014 German Cup between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, which ended with the victory of the first by 2 -0, caused great controversy, since a headed ball Mats Hummels was deflected by Dante, apparently after having crossed the goal line.

The referee understood not, but the controversy was installed, which is why Sandrock considers that it “could not repeat on behalf of the sports true.”

The goal line technology should also be used in the German Super Cup, scheduled for early August, before being implemented in the German League next season.

The use of technology in the line of goal was adopted by clubs ‘Bundesliga’ in early December, receiving the agreement of more than two thirds of the 18 elite clubs (15 versus three), and the choice fell on the system ‘Hawk Eye’ used for several years on the world tennis circuit, but also in the Premiership.
