Most young people of Generation Y prefers to work with technology – Info Online

A survey conducted by Bank of America Merrill Lynch reveals that the overwhelming majority of young people of Generation Y prefer to work with technology than in any other sector.

According to the survey about 20% of young people mention Google as the ideal company to track career . The Apple is also remembered by 13% of respondents and the Facebook is considered by 9% as the best place to work.

The report, released this Friday (22), sought to discover some specific trends on the millennials . According to the study authors, the career aspirations of these young people are guided by technology, specifically the Silicon Valley .

Written by strategists Sarbjit Nahal, Beijia Ma and Felix Tran, the study aimed to find out specific trends in relation to this generation and help investors to conquer this audience, highlighting eight issues highly valued by young people, which include technology (1), consumers (2), drink, health and well being (3) Family (4), finance (5), education (6), women (7) and the so-called Collaborative Economics’ (8).

Always on top

It is no wonder that companies like Google and Facebook are among the employers most remembered by young people. Even in ratings that involve various sectors, these companies end up highlighting both the salary paid to its employees, as the benefits, collaborative organizational culture and open-plan offices.

At Google, for example, they are offered from assistance in education, free food, discount at gyms, paid time off, support for voluntary work and paid leave for men and women who have just had a baby.
