New technology will revolutionize the sector of cameras – Pplware

Both cameras as camcorders, have come over the years to evolve substantially. The reality is that both tasks can now be done only with equipment without thereby be sacrificed quality of the captured images.

Still, a group of Japanese researchers may have developed a technology that could revolutionize this sector.

Keiichi Nakagawa , leader of the research team set up at the University of Tokyo in Japan, has developed a device, which called the Sequentially Timed All-optical Mapping Photography or simply STAMP , which captures a billion frames per second, fast enough to capture waves atoms which passes through crystal structures that move at about one-sixth of the velocity of light.

In this research, the team came to the conclusion that the speed of current cameras is limited due to its mechanical and electrical components, so in order to counter all these issues Nakagawa has decided to use optical components.

Commenting on this discovery, Nakagawa really think this camera is great promise for the study of a wide range of complex phenomena that have not been explored.
