The ninth edition of VideoAtaq first arrive in the City of Arts, in Barra da Tijuca West Zone of Rio, on Friday (19). The event joins art and technology, combining music, real-time images, projections, installations and audiovisual performances.
The VideoAtaq is an event conceived by Jodele Larcher, TV director for over 30 years and VJ, and part of the program of the French Week Chamber of Commerce France-Brazil, with the French Institute support.
The international attraction is Nonotak, Franco-Japanese duo formed by Naomi Schipfer and Takami Nakamoto. The Nonotak creations are part of visual art and installation of electronic music live. They will present the work “late Speculation” (“Late speculation”), a triangular cabin made from three screens in which Naomi creates a light design interacting with an experimental glitch composed of Takami.
Nonotak has performed at festivals in Belgium (Stereolux, Mirage and Vision’r), France, United States (AxcessArt and Playgrounds Festival), the Netherlands and recently in Brazil, the 2014 Multiplicity Festival.
Robertinho Recife, one of the great Brazilian guitarists, will present a unique and special performance for VideoAtaq. Called Eletrolight, the presentation brings Robertinho music Recife and electronics Fhorggio his son in charge of synthesizers in a multimedia spectacle. A combination of sound, fury and light show.
Outside, the VideoAtaq promotes parties and demonstrations that took to the streets and threw trends.
The cast is composed by the band knave , accompanied by her Bananobike Sound System, which attracted more than 20,000 people in carnival blocks from Rio de Janeiro in 2015. The bike also features the irreverent experience of karaoke with helium gas.
The Live BLESS party , based on the laws established by the sound system, will celebrate the Jamaican and Caribbean culture. Closing the night, the DJs of Manie Gang play a set with references electro swing, swing, electro blues, jazz and other new retrobeats; plus beats the years 20, 30, 40 and 50 mixed with the beats of the future.
In the visual and videomapping double Folkatrua VJs with Guigga Tomaz and Super Praia, partners for many years the Video Ataq.
