First PSV shirts made by Umbro blend tradition and … – ball retriever Guide

The Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven presented their new shirts for the season 2015-2016, the first created by Umbro after the club close contract with the brand and end a 20-year partnership with Nike. And as is almost inevitable when speaking of Umbro, the new models stand out elegance, PSV mixing tradition with timely innovations

The new shirt holder keeps the absolutely traditional look of PSV with red and white vertical stripes on the front, blank back and red sleeves. But it’s the quirk in the details that makes the difference, especially in polo neck with buttons, black with gold stripe in the middle. The two colors also appear on the sides of the shirt and shorts, while meiões completing the uniform are striped in red and white, but horizontally.

The uniform reserve (in the gallery from the photo number 12) , in turn, comes in two shades of dark blue and has some pink in detail on the shoulders and sides. The collar is bald with most blue and edge also rose. The emphasis in this case is the use of modern manufacturing technology to create, at the front, some irregular horizontal bands in different shades of blue. The shorts and meiões are also blue with pink details.

In addition to the uniforms of the outfield players were also revealed the PSV goalkeeper shirts. The holder is green with irregular horizontal stripes in fluorescent yellow, while the reservation reverses the colors, with yellow fluorescent predominantly with stripes in green. In all models, both line as goalkeeper, the nape of the region bears the inscription “Eendracht maakt macht” which means “unity is strength”.

In addition to having changed the Nike Umbro the PSV shirts will have another big news soon. As announced in April, Philips, a company that gives its name to the team (Philips Sport Vereniging) will no longer sponsor the club. The 2015-2016 season will therefore be the last in which the team’s uniforms have the electronics brand logo.
