Google launches platform for journalists – Correio da Manhã

News Lab aims to give tools to create better journalistic content.

The News Lab is the latest Google platform that will help journalists create and share their work. According to the company, the goal is to help writers better utilize the technologies offered by Google, such as Google Maps or Trends, when writing the news.

“We offer many tools that can be used in newsrooms” said the director of the News Lab, Steve Grove, the French news agency AFP .

Journalists can get a training on these technologies in the News Lab website, which also according to Google’s mission is to help create a “ more informed and more democratic world.”
