The “Smartphones” help us the interconnect, and a very small number of apps help our day-to-day. But this requires a battery of almost constant recharging for the device does not die.

Battery life has improved in recent models, but there is still room for improvement, not to say it would be great if that Power came from a renewable source.

To meet the challenge, researchers at Ohio State University have developed a technology that makes the cells more mobile phone batteries to last 30% in a single recharging cycle, . to capture the wasted energy of the machine’s radio broadcasts, and returning it to the battery

This technology uses a circuit to convert some of the radio signals – mobile network, data or wifi – current energy continuous, using it to charge the phone battery. It is estimated that 97% of the signals of a mobile phone, never reach their destination, but this technology allows recapture them, and thus keeping our devices to work without constantly connecting to the mains.

The research team says that this technology can be embedded directly on your phone without adding more weight or volume, and it will work when you make calls, send messages, use WiFi or 3 / 4G. Use apps or games “offline” does not work.

If researchers are able to work with some of the largest companies, this technology will do much to cut energy consumption, and take a well deserved rest our boots.
