Technology is combined with learning in municipal Macaé … – Globo.com

The technology is increasingly part of everyday school day. Classes in computer labs are seen as educational activities that can contribute to the teaching process and leave the school environment more interesting. In the municipal school system of Macae, inside the Rio, computing is considered by professionals an enriching way of knowledge acquired before only in the classroom, or the computer with their educational software is an ally in learning.

Before the classes of Kindergarten and first segment of primary education, the use of computers in the teaching learning makes students can learn in a playful manner through interactive games and activities. For this, teachers use educational software working pedagogical aspects and help in the development of skills such as creativity, logical thinking and coordination.

In Macaé, teachers who work in computer labs receive follow-Core Municipal Technology (NTM). Among them is Professor of Computer Laboratory of the School Marly Vasconcelos Lemos, Joseane Monte.

According to the educator, the kids love to be part of lessons in laboratories. “Working seamlessly together with classroom teachers. This month, for example, the approach is the country life and city. We are working with illustrations, educational games and videos. The intention is to help students have a better definition of the culture and the reality of the central area and country, “he said.

Already the director of the unit, Claudia Tomaz commented that the work of the laboratory IT is important as it is linked to the political pedagogical project.

Students approved laboratory use
Students from kindergarten class, John Lucas of Montenegro, Eloaine Moreira Milena dos Reis Ferreira and Gabriele approve classes in the laboratory. “I like to watch video and write colorful words,” said John, accompanied by colleagues.

According to the Secretary of Education, Guto Garcia, the use of computers in school is a great facilitator for help in understanding and student learning in educational activities worked in the classroom. “This is a way to enhance student learning, that they learn to handle the computer properly and know diverse educational software,” he said. He notes that the proposal of the network is to enhance the number of equipment such as computers, and increase the number of laboratories.

Specific Classes
Classes in computer labs for students in Kindergarten and elementary school have the same goal: to awaken students’ motivation. However, the presentation of the contents are highlighted differently. Before the Early Childhood Education classes, for example, are covered videos, blogs, and educational games. In the discipline of mathematics, for example, students may have enhanced learning with geometric shapes, colors and numbers.

Already before the Portuguese classes for students of primary school, the activities in the laboratory allow activities visual and studies related to reading, writing, production school newspaper, tables and surveys about the competencies and skills emphasized in the classroom.

According to NTM coordinator, Alex Bogado, professionals who work with kids in Kindergarten and 1st to 5th grade have access to softwaresaprimorados, which facilitate the realization of educational activities. Among the software is edilim, consisting of a multimedia interactive book, hot potatoescom suggestions for activities to be completed on the same computer as cross, gaps to complete text and multimedia activities.

Today, NTM promotes courses training for teachers who work in laboratories or not. The modules are to facilitate the daily lives of educators before the planning of teaching and learning strategies.

The computer can be used as an ally mainly in schools, where children begin to have contact with the computer early.
