Vodafone will take advantage of network convergence and aggregation of carriers LTE FDD / TDD in its network in Portugal, thanks to the technology of Ericsson and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
The integration of TDD technology in FDD network already in place will boost the total data downlink capacity and improve the entire mobile broadband experience of subscribers. In addition, the aggregate carrying FDD / TDD expands TDD layer apps cover up to 230 percent.
This Vodafone trial implementation in its commercial network in Portugal uses 15 MHz band 3 (FDD 1800) and 20 38 MHz band (TDD 2600). The tests are supported by a 810 Snapdragon Qualcomm processor with X10 LTE.
