Technology: iPhone? Will never work – Laziness Magazine

Today we turn a little back in time. Let’s remember how technology is highly unpredictable as to its acceptance by the market and that can have completely opposite effects.

The year was 2007 and smartphones were at the time led by Microsoft with its Windows Mobile. In this respect, Microsoft has been years without innovation and without bringing anything new. Were years in a row with an operating system that does not evolved; were clinging to a pen – a stylus – to be able to write on the virtual keyboard; very little software available supply. It was basically a device for professional use only and that it was increasingly stunted and predicted if no fresh air of wind.

In 2007 Apple makes an appearance out of the ordinary to announce its entry into the world of mobile phones. Your name: iPhone. A phone completely out of the ordinary. With just one button and dispensed using pen – our finger would be the main control interface with the phone and would bring maps, proximity sensor, automatic brightness adjustment depending on outside light, accelerometer to detect the vertical position and horizontal adjusting the display to the position, an intuitive operating system, among other features

The first reaction from Microsoft, coming of their senior manager Steve Balmer, traveled the world and was as follows:.

“This is the most expensive phone in the world. And no appeals to business customers because not even have keyboard, which makes it a bad equipment to write emails “

Let’s review other reactions that were brutally opposite:.

” Im not impressed with the iPhone. The PDA user and a Windows Mobile user, this thing has nothing on my phone. It sure is good at what it was designed for, the phone que entertains and talks … other than that, i do not see much potential. How the hell am i suppose to put appointments on the phone with the stylus or keyboard ?! I can sync it with my computer, but when i’m on the go, i can not do Either! No thanks Apple. Make a real PDA please … “

” I checked many companies que tried the tap to type and tap to dial … IT DOES NOT WORK STEVIE, people do not like non-tactile typing, it’s a simple fact, this is not a phone it’s a mac PDA … “

” It redbourn Apple how long to Develop this ONE PHONE? Samsung and Motorola release new phones every few months, lol, and innovate Constantly and get better, i’m sorry but if i’m sending text messages i’d rather have my thumb keyboard than some weird finger tapping on the screen crap “

“Touch screen buttons? BAD idea. This thing will never work “

 iPhone versus Windows Mobile

iPhone versus Windows Mobile

The acceptance by the market was huge and completely revolutionized several factors: the phone has become more than a smartphone to pass also be an entertainment equipment; opened the doors for developers to develop various applications and games -. this was one of the driving factors of the success of Apple (and Google with Android) this market
Apple or Android currently lead the market, with Microsoft lagged behind trying today, with many different maneuvers, be a leader in this area. But without success.
