NSA wants technology companies allow access to … – Info Online

The US National Security Agency (NSA) is fighting a battle with technology companies to gain access to encrypted information. On the other hand, companies like Apple, Google and Microsoft are pushing the government to the NSA does not have access to your data. But the director of the Agency, Michael S. Rogers, claims to have the solution.

Speaking recently in a speech at Princeton University, Rogers suggested that technology companies could create a multi-part encryption master key able to unlock any device to access photos and text messages, according to the The Washington Post .

Thus, he explained, if the key was broken in several pieces, no person would have the ability to use it. “I do not want a backdoor ,” Rogers said during the speech, using a common term in the technology industry, on secret measures to bypass security devices. “I want a front door . And I want this ‘front door’ has multiple locks. Great locks,” he said.

According to Rogers, access to “port front “will allow essential security measures, keeping data safe from hackers or an external attack. Some believe, however, that even broken into pieces, a digital master key creates security holes. “The basic question is: is it possible to design a completely secure system to leave a master key available to the US government, but not the opponents” said Donna Dodson, head of cyber security at the National Institute of Standards and Technology Department of Commerce, the TWP. “There is no way to do this without having unintended vulnerabilities,” concluded
