Google, Microsoft and other major names in the business technology are joining with Code.org – non-profit NGO -. at a large fundraising campaign that hopes to introduce 100 million students to the world of coding

The Code.org want to take their computer science courses to tens of thousands of new classrooms over the next year. According to the organization, $ 5 million to achieve your goal will be needed. The collection is being done through a campaign on Indiegogo, which has the support of the largest technology companies today and several personalities from the world of computing as Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg.

Five million dollars may seem like a very high amount in donations to achieve, and that is where the supporters come:. actually, for every dollar that is donated by an anonymous person any, companies and celebrities will also donate a dollar to the campaign

The NGO, which was born in January 2013, focuses primarily on promoting its Time Code, which introduces students to programming through a simple tutorial an hour. The hope of the nonprofit organization is achieving schools that do not offer courses in Computer Science – and 90 percent of schools do not offer, according to them – thus giving children their first exposure to encoding, which is becoming increasingly more differential in the curricula for those hires.

The campaign has global reach and the project is totally free for anyone who wants to learn. The Time Code also want to divide its focus equally between boys and girls, potentially reducing gender disparities have become increasingly evident in the reports released by major technology companies.
