Kwanza Norte: Project a trip to the world of science and … – AngolaPress

The project aims to encourage students, parents and guardians to choose a course in areas related to science and technology for training.

The project will be presented during two days, five thousand and 150 students from schools Samora Moises Machel, St. Maria Goretti, St. Catherine of Siena, 330 primary schools of Kipata and 18A, as well as a Blue district.

Speaking to ANGOP, the project manager Francisco Azevedo Coutinho, explained that “journey into the world of technology and innovation” has been launched in the provinces of Luanda, Benguela, Lunda Norte and Sul, Malanje, Cabinda, Zaire, Uige, Huambo, Bie, Bengo and Kwanza Sul.

He noted that the aforementioned project is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education which aims to encourage children to choose, increasingly, training related to science and technology, primarily in areas such as engineering, medicine and other ways of contributing to the country’s development.

According to the manager, the program will include approximately 100 000 students, with over 11 years of age, 200 schools of I cycle of selected secondary schools by the Ministry of Education, in all 18 provinces of the country.

Its methodology, the display plays, didactic materials for students and teachers, schools offering kits and national competitions between schools on topics related sciences and technologies.
