Google may launch its own mobile messaging application – Globo.com

Google plans to launch a mobile messaging app that will likely be tested in India and other emerging markets, published the “Economic Times” on Friday (3), citing sources.

According to the Journal, Google is in the early stages of application development, which will not make mandatory the use of a login to a Google account.

If launched, the application will compete in space chat via mobile with apps like WhatsApp, Line and Hike.

The American company is also seeking the location adding support for languages ​​of India and voicemails-to-text, according to newspaper.

A Google spokesman said the company does not comment on speculation.
