Edigma creates touch technology for televisions – iOnline

The Skin Ultra technology, developed by Portuguese EDIGMA, will make possible the existence of Touch on large surfaces such as the LVD, with the same performance that already exists on mobile devices.

This is a technology in film, to be sandwiched behind the glass of the television so that it passes to be Touch and will be on show from 5 January 2015 at the Consumer Electronics Shows (CES) in Las Vegas, the largest fair in the world of technology.

“The product we are developing is a kind of hybrid. On television we get the size and tablet concept Touch , “said Miguel Fonseca, CEO EDIGMA.

The world premiere be held next Friday, in Braga, and the construction of major Asian TV, like Samsung, LG, NEC or Panasonic, they intend to incorporate technology EDIGMA to equip their products, will be present.

“We believe that the Touch is the right interface for the future and therefore we are preparing to launch a first product that will allow users to expand the way they use supermarkets, including their televisions and thus interact with them, “said Miguel Fonseca yet.

The Skin Ultra is a rapid and sensitive ultra performance product, allowing the combination of 100 touches simultaneously, at a speed of 5 milliseconds, and will be available in five different sizes: 40, 42, 47, 50 and 55 inches.

According to the official, the Touch began in screens smartphones , has spread to tablets and today is already present in many laptops, so the trend is the extent to screens big dimensions at high speed on a global scale.

The big difference of this product in relation to technology touchscreen that already existed in large screens is the resolution is three times higher than that due to the type of conductive material, the electronic architecture and component software , ie, algorithms that are behind the whole process.

“We have been preparing ourselves so that there are no limitations in terms of production of Ultra Skin.
