With a total of 772 news pieces, Farfetch leads the list of the startups more media in Portugal. The company manages a market of luxury brands that sell to all over the world and, in addition to being the media, is the first "billion dollar company made in Portugal".

The Uniplaces, an online marketplace for accommodation of the students, is the second startup the Portuguese media, present in 683 news. The educational toys and science that constitute the offer of Science4you have been the target of a total of 475 news, which place it in the third position of this ranking.

The object of the study were all news pieces, on space editorial Portuguese, in more than 2000 media, in the time period comprised between 1 January and 26 October 2016, a total of more than 4 million articles analyzed.

According to the information disclosed by Cision, the choice of companies about which focused on the collection of information for this study was based on the startups selected to be present on the Websummit, as well as other startups that stood out in terms of media, in the current year. The validation of the final list that was submitted to the search in the database of Cision, had the support of Corpcom, the Portuguese agency that since 2007 has come to play an important role in the communication of startups national and international, as well as in the communication of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, Portuguese.
