Kings of Spain visit Park of Science and Technology … News Journal

The kings of Spain began this Tuesday morning, the second day of visit to Portugal, meeting in the Science and Technology Park of University of Porto with the mayor Rui Moreira.

To start the visit to Porto, Felipe VI took the view that the University is “one of the main elements that contributed to “the amazing transformation” that the city lived in the last years, in which you had “the intelligence to know how to combine” modernity with respect for tradition and history.

“Is the University of Porto and its Park of Science and Technology that make Porto a city of entrepreneurial excellence, contributing to boost the economy and attract more business,” he declared in a solemn session of Monday, in the Chamber of the Port.

Then the kings of Spain have decided to start the day, Tuesday, precisely, with a visit to the Science and Technology Centre of the University of Porto (UPTEC), in the rua Alfredo Allen, where they were given a violin. Following the visit, whose duration is about half an hour, Felipe VI and Letizia will meet the Institute of Research and Innovation in Health (I3S), also in rua Alfredo Allen.

The visit to the Port ends with a breakfast with 200 businessmen in the Portuguese and Spanish, in the Bolsa Palace, where the mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, expects to open the path to the fulfillment of the expectations that the displacement of Felipe VI and Letizia to the city Invicta serve to deepen relationships on multiple levels between the two countries.

After lunch, offered by the Municipality of porto and is expected to finish by 15 hours, the kings of Spain go on to Lisbon, where they will be received in the town Hall, by the mayor Fernando Medina, around 16 hours. The day ends with a dinner, hosted by prime minister António Costa, in the Palace of the Needs.
