The Commission of Science, Technology, Innovation, Communication and Informatics (CCT) discusses next Wednesday (16) the challenges in the area of weather forecast and climate in Brazil. To the senator the Day Martins (PDT-RS), who requested the hearing, the improvement of the weather forecast is linked to several factors, such as the investigations of the scientific community, the development and maintenance of the sensors and space technology.

Were invited by professor Pedro Leite da Silva Dias, University of São Paulo (USP); Francisco José Arteiro de Oliveira, of the Electric System National Operator (ONS); Antônio Divino Moura, of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE); and the researcher Haroldo Fraga Old, the Associated Laboratory of Computing and Mathematics.
