The Altice USA, the fourth largest carrier in the U.S., announced this Wednesday, November 30, which will invest in the upgrade of the networks of the Optimum (formerly Cablevision) and Suddenlink. With the new technology that the Altice will export (10 gigabits per second) can download in seconds while that with the current network of Verizon (50 megabits per second) can take up to 14 minutes.
At the end of last year, Meo announced that it would extend its current fibre network to over 3 million homes in the Portuguese territory until 2020. The values of the expansion in Portugal also were not disclosed.
