Campos, RJ, prepares for National Week of Science and … – Globo.com

Campos dos Goytacazes, Northern Rio de janeiro state, will participate from this Wednesday (19) of the 5th National Week of Science and Technology. With the theme ‘ Science Feeding the Brazil," the event will bring together the largest fair of science and technology of the region until Thursday (20), from 9h to 16h in the Garden of St. Benedict. According to the municipality, the meeting will more than 50 institutions and entities, with exhibits within the proposed theme.

The fair offers a programming quite diverse, with activities artistic and cultural. There will also be the participation of students from various municipal schools, with music, dance, installation, exhibition of paintings, role-play, choral and performance.

The 12th Art Show of Elementary School II will be held on both days of the event, highlighting the theme of ‘ Science Feeding the Brasil and the Samba feeding the soul", in commemoration of the centenary of samba in the year of 2016.

The 4th Tuesday Municipal Science, Technology and Innovation (Femucti) will also be exhibition of work for the evaluation board. May be selected up to four projects for participation in the 10th trade Fair of Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of Rio de janeiro (Fecti), what happens on the River.

According to coordinator of Sciences of the Elementary II, Smece, Carla Salles, the meeting has as its goal the popularization and diffusion of science, technology and art, providing the public a singular opportunity to discuss various topics of science.

"Know a little more about the scientific aspects, educational, and social involved in the various fields of knowledge, in addition to propose to the public moments of appreciation and experience arts and cultural," he says.

The National Week of Fields is open to the public and will also have dozens of jobs, schools, municipal and private, and research universities, and other entities.
