“As a photographer, this is one of those times when it was just a picture, and got stuck in my head,” he said in an interview with CNN.

One night, the photographer fell asleep with the phone in hand and it was agreed that when he realized that even unconscious, was ready to do scroll on the screen. The time gave him the idea for collection of photographs has now published on the Internet, which he called “Removed”.

“That was when clicked. I saw the possibility of a photo without having the device in my hand. “

The set of images criticizes the dependence on mobile phones, showing how people behave in public and are absorbed by technology.

To capture the concept, the author uses an analog camera, covered by a cloth, especially for constrastar with the smartphone technology.

The photographer began by asking friends and family to pose as if they are using mobile phones. Over time, she began to gain confidence to do with strangers on the street.

Eric Pickersgill ensures that the latest work inspired him to use the phone less and expects the same to happen with the message receivers.

“I’m waiting for some families who see this work put a container on the door and there deposit mobile phones, before sitting down to dinner.”

“With this work I’m not telling anyone how to live your life. I’m just trying to set a time for others it may be, perhaps as impressive as that is where I had the coffee. “
