[IPhone Camera 6 brings technology that debuted with the Samsung ... - Xpert Mobile

During the launch of its new smartphone, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple has invested considerable time talking about the Focus Pixels technology. Behind this name, however, there is a technology focus well known and typically used in DSLR cameras, and nonexistent until some time in the smartphone market.
The new technology is also known as phase detection. Those who violate the minimum details of the best smartphone cameras present in the market are perhaps remembering the Galaxy S5, released earlier this year. Samsung was the first to invest in this resource professional cameras in its current high-end and now (wait for it) is followed by Apple with the new iPhone 6:06 Plus.

The great Most smartphones so far incorporated a system of autofocus based on contrast detection. The device analyzes the amount of contrast between neighboring pixels and determines which area he should focus on. The disadvantage of this technique is that it tends to be unreliable in low light. Furthermore, the autofocus phase detection works differently. It analyzes the light rays entering the lens in order to determine which object should focus (as seen in the above video). The process is a bit complicated, but it works!
 

Now all we’re left waiting for the first comparative certainly put face to face the first two smartphones with technology derived from DSLR cameras.
