Coursera offers 4 free courses about technology – Digital Look

The Coursera, free online courses platform, today announced a partnership with two major Brazilian universities: USP and Unicamp are preparing courses in Portuguese for the project. In addition, some modules are subtitled in Portuguese with the help of volunteer translators.

Brazil is the fifth country with more registered on the site, with about 300 000 between 9 million users worldwide. Founded in 2012 at Stanford University, the platform has 110 partner educational institutions that offer over 700 courses in various areas.

For the moment, only 28 strokes are subtitled in Portuguese, but the intention is that the number grow. The programs taught by Brazilian universities also begin this month. . Give to all subjects offered, click here

Language R

Duration: 4 weeks

The course teaches programming and data analysis in R. The lessons cover practical issues in statistical computing, describe concepts of generic programming language, beyond construction of debugging functions, data reading and language profiles in

Computer Science 101

. Duration: 1000 weeks * (If the editor of Coursera have not placed more zeros, the student will study for 19 years)

The course teaches computer science ideas for those who do not have knowledge on the topic addressing issues such as hardware, jargon used, operating software, operation Internet, computer security, among others

Introduction to JAVA

Programming

. Duration: 7 weeks

During the lessons, the student is introduced to programming language basics, control structures and functions JAVA

Introduction to interactive computing in Python

Duration: 9. weeks
