The New Art you want to become one of the nodes of the world network of cultural festivals that are geared towards the 4.ª industrial revolution (industry 4.0) with special emphasis on the strategic location of Lisbon as a european platform approach creative between America, Africa and the Orient. The festival will display works of art in the spaces of the centre of Lisbon, with a presence in shop windows of the shops of the Chiado, the National Museum of Natural History and Science or in the Market TimeOut, among others.
Will be exposed works of Portuguese artists such as André Sier, Carlos Noronha Feio, Leonel Moura, Margarida Sardinha or Miguel Palma and international names such as Eva & Franco Matte, Lynn Hershman Leeson, Mateusz Herczka, Miza Coplin and John Klima. Will be also displayed the works of the new real estate e-city and on their screens of smart signage – video panels, tomis, etc. – as well as in the Internet and its social networks, highlighting this segment of the festival the launch of a platform for augmented reality called Second City.
There will also be a concert of live coding by the artists Alexandra Cárdenas and Ryan Kirkbride with the title of Flaneuse. In this concert-performance the colombian Alexandra Cárdenas resorted to the programming environment called SuperCollider, and the language TidalCycles to describe the patterns of their music, while the English Ryan Kirbride will present a language semi-improvised live coding the FoxDot, combining the manipulation of samples and sounds digitally synthesized.
On the last day, November 10, will hold a seminar on innovation cognitive in contemporary arts, with the participation of speakers of various nationalities, among them artists and representatives of technology companies. The full schedule will be revealed in the coming weeks.
