G1 – Iapar develops technology that promises to reduce losses … – Globo.com

Two years ago the Agronomic Institute of Paraná (Iapar) conducts research to develop a technology that allows the reduction of losses in the bean crop.

The equipment has been tested and adapted in other agricultural machines has reduced by 30% losses in grain harvest.

“It’s a relatively simple change does not alter the main structure of the machine and facilitates the bean harvest. This because it raises the plant, and to push the plant into the platform, “explains the researcher Hevandro Delalibera.

The bean harvest is made with traditional harvesters of other cultures. What these studies have found is that by increasing the number of fingers on the platform with a low cost adaptation and flexible for different machines, the structure of the combine harvester is best suited for coffee plantations.

“Adequacy was concerned with a mechanism that can be adjusted to any manufacturer, “says the researcher.

Although simple, there’s nothing like it on the market. The prototype is ready. A new test should be done in the next bean crop. And the result of the research will be presented officially in Rural Show Cascavel in February 2017. Then should follow to commercial scale production.
