Brazil will have imaging technology 4k 2020 Kassab says – Portal Brazil

Ultra-Full-HD images equivalent to four times the visual information that the full-HD system on the screen

Brazil should adopt ultra technology system image resolution 4k Digital TV by 2020. the announcement was made by Minister of Science, technology, Innovation and Communications, Gilberto Kassab, on Tuesday (30 ) during the opening of Set Expo, an event that is part of the 28th Congress Set on innovations and changes in the industry segment of broadcast and new media.

Unlike the images in full HD with 1920 x 1080 pixels, the image 4k equivalent to four times the amount of pixels on the screen – 3840 x 2160 pixels – which makes the image sharper.

“we hope that in 2020 because we have the first steps to take users to the system,” the minister said.

In addition he has been honored the Minister of Communications of Japan, Jiro Akama. The two countries signed the agreement in 2006. Kassab also pointed out that the Japanese system has been adopted throughout Latin America, except for Colombia and Suriname.

According to the Minister, representatives of the Brazilian and Japanese governments have made contacts with Colombian authorities about the possibility of membership, but always respecting the decision of that country, which has chosen the European system.
