Technology fair in Curitiba has cosplay, games and virtual reality – Globo.com

technology fans, anime and games in Curitiba can have great fun this weekend during the All Geek Show. The fair, which takes place in the Expo Unimed, combines technology products made in Curitiba, video game tournaments, talks about the digital world and even a cosplay contest. The event follows on Saturday (21) and ends on Sunday (22).

According to organizers, the event brings to the capital of Paraná the opportunity to check technologies and activities seen only in larger markets, such as the Campus Party in São Paulo. Moreover, it is an opportunity for local companies to show equipment produced in the state and are already available for sale.

One such technology is the virtual reality glasses, produced by the company Curitiba Bee Noculus. The product was presented at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2015. It is basically a glasses, which fits a smartphone and you can experience videos, games and other applications that give the idea of ​​immersion. In addition to shopping, you can test the product during the fair.

“This week was to deliver the first orders made at CES. Today [Friday (19)] was the day that our site sales with prompt delivery aired. Starting next week, everything is working perfectly, “said one of the company’s owners, Peter Rawlinson Terrabuio. The Brazilian project that took 18 months to get ready was one of novidaes that drew the most attention in the event that took place in Las Vegas in the United States.

Another Curitiba company debut Products in All Geek Show is the EngeDrones. The company, which participates in the first technology event, offers products and services for the public sector and large companies. Even so, according to technical director Charles Roberto Stempniak, geek event is a good port to display the products. “The children of the directors of these companies is that they are the geeks,” he says.

In addition to these events, the fair will also have performances by an orchestra that will play live, some of the songs that marked an era in video games.
