Data center EcoDataCenter with Schneider Electric technology – PCGuia

The EcoDataCenter is a new data center being built in Falun, Sweden, with Schneider Electric technology. Created by the energy company Falu Energi & amp; Vatten, with the collaboration of EcoDC AB, the data center will feature solutions and Schneider Electric products that will contribute to their energy efficiency.

The electricity that will feed the data center comes from sources renewable energy such as solar, wind and hydropower, as well as secondary biofuels. The surplus heat of the servers and IT equipment will heat the buildings in Falun through the district heating system.

During the summer, the excess energy of the local energy production plant should feed the machines will cool the new data center.

The first of the three buildings, with a total 23,250 m2, will be ready during the first quarter of 2016.
