'Pure Genius', the series that the channel AMC debut in Portugal on the 2nd of January, at 22h10, accompanies the ambitious plan of James Bell (Augustus Prew), a young genius billionaire from Silicon Valley with a bright mind who decided to open a hospital of last generation, determined to revolutionize health care and to find a solution for the more rare medical mysteries at any price.
For this, he recruited Walter Wallace (Dermot Mulroney), an experienced surgeon, holder of a past controversial, that will count with the support of a team, "revolutionary": Zoe Brockett (Odette annable’s hairstyles), a medical doctor incredibly competent and sincere; Talaikha Channarayapatra (Reshma Shetty), a neurosurgeon idealist who believes in the hospital as a hope for humanity; Malik Verlaine (Aaron Jennings), a former burglar that monitors the health of the patients of the lower class; Scott Strauss (Ward Horton) a neurologist from the top; and Angie Cheng (Brenda Song), a computer programmer specializing in 3D prints.
Walter Wallace (Dermot Mulroney) remains skeptical about the involvement of technology in medicine, that it should remain a business human, until an epiphany in his first days in the Bunker Hill Hospital in the change of ideas.
In the Bunker Hill Hospital, Bell unites the brightest minds of the medical world to the most advanced geniuses of the technology, around the utmost concern to save lives, including yours.
'Pure Genius' is a series produced by Universal Television in association with CBS Television Studios, and created by Jason Katims, executive producer of Michelle Lee.
