A picture in the CES 2017, suggests that Microsoft may have opted for the new architecture Vega from AMD for the GPU Project Scorpio, instead of the technology the Polaris.
while very little is known about this new model of Xbox One that will be released at the end of this year. We know only that it is preparing to show resolutions at 4K, which is ready for the virtual reality thanks to its 6 teraflops, and that will have a CPU of 8 cores with more than 320 GB/s bandwidth memory. It is a improved model of the Xbox One, the games that are released on this console can be played also on Xbox One the original, and vice-versa. The features are also the same.
During the CES 2017 that will take place this week, the japanese site 4Gamer took a picture of the exhibitor of the AMD Vega/Ryzen where it appears a screen with the chip and the mention of the Xbox Project Scorpio. This image would not make sense if the console does not use a GPU Vega and probably a CPU Ryzem, however nothing has been said on this subject officially during the event.
