From 2015, German Championship adopt technology used in … – iG Sport

Tested for the first time in football during the World Cup in Brazil, the goal-line technology will be adopted by the Bundesliga from the 2015/2016 season, which will begin next year. The suggestion to incorporate such technology was taken by Bayern Munich, champion in 2013 and current leader of the table with seven points clear of the runner-up.

Front of the application, the German Football Federation (DFL) , an organization that coordinates the Bavarian football, opened a vote involving all first-division clubs to judge the validity of the proposal. Of the 18 clubs, 15 were placed in favor of the new measure.

In addition to being tested for the first time in World in Brazil, the technology is used in the FIFA Club World, held at the end of every year and in the Premier League. “I believe it is a step forward for German football,” said the president of the Bundesliga, Reinhard Rauball.

Harald Strutz, president of Mainz 05, a club that makes regular season occupying the tenth place in the table with three wins, seven draws and three defeats, was favorable to the implementation of such technology. “Most clubs recognize that it is no longer possible to ignore the innovations of technology,” he admitted.
