Twitter appoints former head of Facebook as a counselor technology – Globo.com

Twitter appointed former chief technology officer of Facebook, Bret Taylor, to be a member of its board of directors, effective immediately.

Taylor is the current president of startup Quip. He became the head of Facebook’s technology after the company acquire FriendFeed, social network he helped founded in 2007.

Before that, he was group product manager at Google, the Alphabet, where participated in the creation of Google Maps and Google started the product development group.
