MIT invents technology that changes shape – Pplware

The technology is constantly evolving and is now accessible to anyone. The world of gadgets is perhaps the one that most interests the general consumer, and it is in this field that MIT wants to surprise.

So, he created the Lineform, a technology that changes shape and adapts to different features.

Lineform is nicknamed “interface that changes shape “(or in English, Shape Changing Interface ) and aims to bring users a new way to interact with technology. And a robot-shaped coil having the ability to mold into different shapes depending on the intended use of its user.

This technology, which can be considered a gadget is a single line composed of a linear series of actuators that can move independently or together, creating new shapes.

builds so in three basic principles: Display; interaction and body restriction.

For example, it may be placed around the wrist like a clever bracelet that you receive notifications can be turned into a phone able to make calls, equipped with a microphone and speaker. Can also serve as intelligent cable capable of recognizing a series of modules, turning up whenever needed.

For the body the Lineform may be placed in a person’s arm that performs a task, keep all your movements and, when placed in another user, the movements executed would be recorded in Lineform.

This concept, still in development, it may be in the future something useful, not exactly this device, but all . the concept around and may even come to represent the future of mobile devices, at least that’s what researchers believe
