President’s Sporting, Bruno de Carvalho, said Tuesday the historic decision of the International Board (IFAB) recommend, on a trial basis, the introduction of video technology to support the work of the soccer referees.
“It is a day that might be remembered as historic in the life of football: the International Board opens the door to the twenty-first century the King sport” wrote Carvalho Bruno in his official Facebook page, noting that the Sporting defends years the use of technology.

On Thursday, IFAB recommended preliminary tests on the introduction of technology video as support for the work of the referees decision which may be ratified formally at the next meeting of the organization in Cardiff.
The IFAB even issued a statement to account for the intention of giving the green light to this recommendation at the meeting to be held in Wales, between 4:06 of March.
The executive of the Welsh Football Federation director, Jonathan Ford, who chaired the meeting, said the trials could start next season, although two seasons are necessary “at least” to complete.
