The Showtec, the largest fair of agribusiness technology in Mato Grosso do Sul and one of the largest in the country, ended on Friday (22) in Maracaju, 157 kilometers from Campo Grande, accounting for a record crowd, 15, 8000 people in the three-day event.
The fair, organized by the MS Foundation, is the first event of the annual calendar of the Brazilian agribusiness and this edition presented over 500 new technologies.
Aimed at farmers and rural entrepreneurs, agricultural experts, scholars, among others, the Showtec is an annual event which presents products and services linked to the agricultural sector, launches, technological innovations, production systems, technical lectures and results of surveys contribute to the sustainability of Brazilian agribusiness.
The president of MS Foundation, Luis Alberto Moraes Novaes, expectations of the fair were exceeded. “We present the results of numerous researches developed not only for the Foundation but by institutions such as Embrapa, which now will turn into concrete data on farms,” he said.
Lectures, presentations and technology demonstrations , innovations and research findings, cultural activities and business prospecting moved the fair, which brought novelties in the production of soybeans, corn, sugar cane, livestock, beekeeping and also covers the benefits of integrated crop livestock and forestry.
“Our goal is to encourage farmers to think on your property as a business. The producer of today need to have an entrepreneurial approach to overcome challenges and meet the market demands, “said the executive director of the MS Foundation, Alex Melotto.
