Mini Power: Battery made card for smartphones – RTP


 

 

It is a recycled piece, made of cardboard, which can give up to six hours of battery on a smartphone. The concept of designer Chih Tsung-Hsien is biodegradable and does direct competition with other disposable batteries with greater impact in environmental terms.

The idea of ​​a disposable battery to recharge the smartphone is not
 itself new, especially in the Asian market. But this is
 first time that the product does not involve chemicals and plastic coating
 of easily adaptable to the needs of consumers autonomous batteries.

The creation of this model makes it a worthwhile use of design, technology was used in paper battery that uses cellulose – the main constituent of paper – to generate power.

To the creator of this model, the idea is to offer these batteries at convenience stores and other retail outlets not necessarily related to technology.

The concept of Tsung Chih-Hsien was one of the winning pieces of the Red Dot Design Awards, in the category of design for mobile phones.
