5 of the most powerful women in the world of technology [video] – Tecmundo

The giant command of technology usually is in the hands of men, but women gradually begin to reverse the game and gain prominence in the industry. Though still outnumbered, female representatives do great work in management positions or acting on giant racks like Google and Facebook.

Below and in the video above, you know five executives who are well successful and should serve as an example so that more women opened almost the world of technology corporations. Are CEOs who revitalized businesses, employees who have led major projects and directors who do everything so that companies do not close the accounts out of the red.

Remember that the TecMundo already made a list of the ten most powerful women technology. Who do you think was missing from the list and you can get in a second edition

Sheryl Sandberg

Ela is the director of Facebook operations, the first woman elected to the board of directors on the social network. Only that this is only one of her wins: Sheryl was online sales vice president of operations and Google for seven years, and is an activist very present in the struggle for gender equality. In the book “Make It Happen – Women, Work and the Will to Lead,” she speaks of the need for greater presence of women in executive positions

Marissa Mayer

Perhaps the most famous list, the CEO of Yahoo! since 2012 fight to take the company, which was already a giant, what looked like certain death. Prior to his current position, she excelled in Google in various positions such as vice president of product research, head of the maps and places of division and even spokesman. Mayer was the first woman to hold the top spot in Fortune magazine’s list of “the business world stars under 40 years.”

Susan Wojcicki

Susan It has a very unconventional career: a degree in history and literature from Harvard, fell in love with technology especially after meeting the co-founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. The two rode the first Google office in her garage in 1998. Soon after, Susan became marketing manager and helped in projects like Google Images, Google Books, AdWords, AdSense and Google Analytics. She is the current CEO of YouTube.

Meg Whitman

Meg Whitman is currently president of HP Enterprise (remember that the company split recently). She has a successful career in positions at Disney, DreamWorks and eBay, where he was CEO for ten years. The company will do well in the legs, but has survived with the help of Meg. She is one of the richest women in the state of California and ranked second in the state governor for election in 2010.

Ginni Rometty

>

Example for any fan of technology, Ginni started at IBM in 1981 as a software engineer. Thirty years later, he took over the company as CEO, becoming the first woman in office. Also goes through difficult times, since the computer of the former giant has failed to keep up with changes over the years -. Currently handles services such as cloud computing, data analysis software and artificial intelligence
