Tech giants are the new ‘owners’ of Wall Street – the Minute News

The strength of US technology is increasingly noted on Wall Street. The name ‘Big Four’, composed by Apple, Google, Microsoft and Facebook, already represents half of the total market value of the ten largest companies in the United States, according to the S & index;. P 500

Overall, four in the technology sector companies worth 3.6 billion dollars (3.28 billion euros), with Apple being responsible for the largest share, equivalent to 700 billion dollars (637,7 billion euro).

The technology already surpassed most of the ‘traditional’ industries, such as energy and banking sector. Perspective is an even greater domain soon, with Amazon to threaten gains lead to online commerce giant to the top 10 Wall Street.

The strong presence of technology was not as felt since the end 90s when the ‘explosion’ of the internet companies brought total valuations very similar to those currently registered.
