Infantino on technology tested in classic European: ‘Promising’ – LANCE!

The FIFA president Gianni Infantino attended the victory of France over Italy by 3-1, on Thursday in disputed friendly in Bari. More than the interest in the classic, the Italian-Swiss came to check the new technology experienced by the entity.

During the game, the referee had provided a video auxiliary to receive information on the most dubious bids. The judge, however, was not allowed to stop the game. It is as if warned, without being able to change decisions taken.

At a news conference after the clash, Infantino approved the first test.

– The technology is promising. It may help. The referee is the one who does not have access to the images, but it is necessary to analyze the procedure so that the game is not interrupted all the time. – Opined Infantino

Later, the evaluation will be extended to tournaments in the United States, Italy, Australia, Germany, Brazil, the Netherlands and Portugal.

FIFA believes the test will be important for the formation of elite referees.
