According to Dr. Larry Rosen, author of the book iDisorder, 70% of active users smartphones / tablets, said to have gone through this experience. For Rosen, if old when felt a “tingling” in his pocket thought it would be some itching, presently, we assume that is our mobile phone, since this stimulus sends information to the brain through the neurotransmitters that cause anxiety or pleasure and do react with certain behavior.

a study of the University of Michigan shows that the degree of depression among young people is correlated with the time they spend on Facebook.

This can be due to that, as a rule, people tend to put on Facebook good things, vacation, restful life, cars, houses, job promotions, parties, etc. So easily we compare us with others and we tend to devalue our lives.

The advice is not to believe everything you read in this and other social networks. See here the kinds of people we meet on Facebook.

The Effect Google

Google is undoubtedly a great help to research various topics, ask questions, find pictures, look for something , etc. But it also brings some consequences. Since we can have easy and simple access to this feature, we tend not to retain as much information in order to retrieve it later, since we know that Google gives us the information we need in a few seconds, replacing, so to speak our memory.

This scenario promotes laziness and, according to Dr. Rosen, Google effect may not even be a bad thing, and can be seen as a new social paradigm in which the human race have access to much more information becoming more informed.

on the other hand, it will also promote we do not have so much knowledge intrinsically, that is, whenever we are not from a machine where we can access Google, we have to use the knowledge we have in our memory long-term and that are smaller quantitatively.
