International seminar will discuss investments in science … – CenárioMT

Commissions of Science and Technology, Communication and Information Technology of the House of Representatives; and Science, Technology, Innovation, Communication and Information Technology of the Senate promote international seminar next week with the theme “legislative strategies for private investment in science, technology and innovation.”

The event was proposed by Mr Fabio Sousa (PSDB-GO). He wants to deepen the debate on the implementation of incentive policies for scientific and technological research in Brazil. “To this end, we will pursue a broad agenda to be discussed at a two-day seminar, as the issue financing, addressing the incentives for startups and incubators, the use of intellectual property as a stimulus to research and knowledge generation and technology solutions; barriers in legislation; the barriers faced in local search level and within the state foundations and challenges to a policy of innovation in the country, “said the deputy.

” We hope that the discussions and examination of international experiences indicate solutions for the medium and long term, we raise the level of public and private resources for this sector not only strategic, but also structuring for industrial development and the resumption of economic growth in the country, “Sousa said.

The MP also noted that, in July, the House passed the Bill in 2177 / 11, which creates the National Science Code, Technology and Innovation to encourage participation of public institutions researchers in research projects carried out in partnership with the private sector. The project is under consideration in the Senate

The seminar will take place on 8 and 9 December, and has as guests the Ministers of Science, Technology and Innovation, Celso Pansera.; and Education, Mercadante; heads of development agencies in science and technology; representatives of government agencies and industry; experts from China and the United States; among others.
