For some time now that Google Glass were desixados aside the market for augmented reality equipment, but it is certain that many companies continue to use technology to develop various products and solutions. This is the case of Boeing is using Google Glass in tasks related to electrical systems of aircraft it produces, says a report by Cio.com.
According to TheVerge site, the aircraft manufacturer sends its staff to use Google glasses during processes that involve the handling of electric cables in structures that serve as the basis for certain components of the aircraft.

It was in partnership with APX Labs company (the creators of Skylight software, designed to be used with Google Glass) that Boeing was able to create an app that “reads” a QR code and can show immediately the instructions corresponding to what is being viewed with the help of glasses. The app also receive voice instructions, acting accordingly.
We’ll see if the future of Boeing will continue to use the next generation of Google Glass technology, which is expected to be available only for professional use. For now, the company’s plans go through help develop this technology in order to put it into use until the Special International Station.
