Microsoft Research released a video showing a prototype of a system referred to as ‘pre-touch sensing’.
According to news from Engadget site, this system is able to recognize the movement of the fingers user on the touch screen of a smartphone. It can also detect the force exerted by the user’s hand.
This Microsoft Research technology allows a mobile anticipate actions based on the orientation as well as the number of used fingers and the distance you are to the screen . Microsoft has not revealed when this technology will be present in smartphones.
