Actor Kevin Spacey is venturing into the technology market. The US currently plays the politician Frank Underwood in the series “House of Cards” is creating a technology to curb unwanted e-mail messages, which are sent automatically.
Along with Dana Brunetti, who is producer of the starry show for Spacey in Netflix, the actor filed a patent in 2013 for the creation of technology and that only last month was published on Google.
the idea of the duo is to only allow people authorized to send e-mails directly to recipients. The intention is to create a “white list” with the persons authorized to send an electronic message to a particular address. Who is not on this list will receive a server notification that the message was not delivered.
If the proposal seems very prohibitive, the inventors have another idea that seems a bit more reasonable. When sending e-mail, the sender will have to fill a specific code, as a kind of password created by the recipient. Only then the message is delivered.
Although still in early stages of development, Spacey is expected that the project can be integrated into existing large email services today, such as Gmail and Outlook.
