unpublished format:. The intersection of technology, science and pop culture in a convention created by the co-founder of Apple
Silicon Valley has one of the highest concentrations of superheroes and science fiction aficionados, but until now had never arranged a Comic Con. The first of these conventions of comic and pop culture band fans happened this weekend in San Jose and was created by a myth of the technology industry:. Steve Wozniak, the geek who founded Apple with Steve Jobs in 1976
the Californian city witnessed the epic meeting of the original saga cast Back to the Future , a debate between the creator of Lost on Mars and NASA scientist and panels with William Shatner, captain Kirk O Star Trek, and Jeremy Renner, the Hawkeye the Avengers. There was cosplay, autograph sessions, exhibitions and all collectible imaginable. There was Stan Lee, the founder of Marvel, and Nathan Fillion, known as Castle and Firefly. Because this is Silicon Valley, there was talk of virtual reality with Oculus, artificial intelligence with Google and the possibility of “designing” babies with DNA manipulation. The convention, which had 30 000 participants per day, opened a unique format in the Comic Con history.
“we wanted a convention a little different from the others, and have incorporated a lot of science and technology, in addition to celebrities,” said Steve Wozniak, who joined Jedi dress and escorted by Stormtroopers, a tribute Star Wars. “The Woz” as it is known, also played a game when the museum Madame Tussauds revealed in the first stage of the visionary wax figure – the curtain came down and Wozniak was still part of his reply to. In the distance, I could not realize what was true.
