The automobile manufacturers have, in recent times, looked for technology startups with special interest, after the ‘explosion’ of notoriety of autonomous vehicles and the necessary technology.
Several startups are trying manter- in the race with the Google X, the Alphabet, which is the most advanced company in the autonomous cars is concerned. The Wall Street Journal, Carol Reiley, president of startup Drive.ai, said his company received over 10.74 million euros in investment to continue working on autonomous driving technology.
More recently, General Motors proposed acquisition of Cruise Automation for over a billion dollars, and may be one of the largest acquisitions in technology made by an automobile manufacturer.
