3D technology will disappear from Samsung TVs – SAPO Tek

“The great ‘king’ of other years, the 3D seems to have been eclipsed, or at least relegated to the category of functionality to include or not the new models.” This phrase was taken from a TeK Article January 2013 that talked about trends in the segment of televisions. Three years ago so that the ability to view content in three dimensions has deambulado the TV without getting really be said.

Now Cnet writes that Samsung will no longer include 3D technology in TV models that launch this year on the market. In practice this means that the brand with the highest number of TV sales worldwide is prepared to leave the 3D back.

This will not be the end of television sets with three-dimensional capabilities, but will represent a blow to the technology that is thus subject to more brands follow the same path.

in the US publication one representative of LG – the second largest seller of TVs. – confirmed that the 3D is still in the script of their equipment as a differentiating factor

Samsung’s decision was shared by anonymous source and has not yet commented in an official way by the brand.

curved screens, Ultra HD panels, UHD with wide dynamic range (HDR its acronym in English) , quantum dots technology, OLED screens and televisions as the centerpiece of smart homes have been other bets of TV brands beyond 3D.
