The FlexTech Alliance consists of Apple, Boeing and Harvard and will collaborate with the Pentagon in order to develop a wearable technology, reports Reuters.
According to the information given by the Secretary of Defense US, Ash Carter, the partnership will serve to print electronic parts in 3D with built-in sensors so that the soldiers have access to them.
The project will have the contribution of 75 million dollars, about 66.5 million euros, the US government over the next five years. Since private companies will invest $ 90 million (approximately EUR 79 million), and local authorities will give 5 million dollars (approximately EUR 4.4 million).
