The International Conference of Telecomunicacões of Bangkok, in Thailand, is an important meeting point for governments, entities, regulators and industry. One of the attractions this year is the technology-5G – that promises wireless internet for a ultra-high speed.
When the network 5G will be deployed – will transform how we live, work and how we deal with technology. There are a few requirements to this promise of the technology 5G will become a reality. "The speed will increase considerably with the network 5G. For this we need a default speed of 20 gigabits per second to each user," says Yeufeng Zhou of Huawei.
According to Philipp Metzger technology 5G also involves some risks: "The risks are primarily technical, as there are many details that we don’t know about all of these services and devices that may be interconnected. There are also some risks with respect to return on investment. And, finally, we must also take into consideration the aspect of cyber security, understand the impact of internet in our lives." Technology 5G can enter into operation in 2020.
